The CES PTO is excited to honor Kaysha Curro and Larisa Santis as our Volunteers of the Month! Kaysha and Larisa are our two outgoing board members after serving well beyond their two-year terms on the PTO Board. From Kaysha's incredible leadership, dedication, and passion to Larisa's thoughtful and reliable work as PTO Treasurer, our school community has benefited immensely from their contributions.

Staff Spotlight

Ms. Venturella

For our final staff spotlight of the school year, we are recognizing Ms. Venturella.

Lauren Venturella is a dedicated and compassionate school counselor who consistently seeks ways to support students. She remains calm under pressure and approaches challenges with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset. Her flexibility and willingness to assist others make her a valued colleague in any situation.

Ms. Venturella is a crucial part of many of our initiatives at Central Elementary, including connecting families with resources and providing clothes, food and school supplies when necessary.  Her commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of all students is an ideal fit for her role as our school’s Equity Liaison.  Her guidance lessons are thoughtful and relevant, always designed to meet students’ particular needs and to connect with the school calendar or curriculum.

Beyond all of this, though, Ms. Venturella’s biggest impact is in the effect she has on our school culture.  As a trusted resource for students, families and colleagues, she reminds all of us of the importance of empathy and compassion in our daily interactions with one another, and she helps ensure that community is at the core of Central Elementary School.
