Volunteer of the Month

Cheryl Gallina

March 2026

As our March PTO Volunteer of the Month we would like to recognize Cheryl Gallina. Cheryl has been holding steady as our membership lead for multiple years, including helping guide us through a change in our website platform. She continues to help us strategize to optimize memberships, collect and process new members, and reconcile membership lists from year-to-year. We greatly appreciate this vital role she plays for our PTO. Thank you Cheryl!

Tiger Trot Sponsorship Opportunity

This spring, we are hosting our 20th Annual Tiger Trot. On Friday, May 1st, our 550+ students will run fundraising laps with their classmates during the Student Fun Run. Families and friends will have an opportunity to donate to support individual students in the near future. In the meantime, we are offering opportunities for businesses to sponsor our run.

Do you know of a business that would like to be among our Tiger Trot sponsors this year? If so, please direct them to our sponsorship signup page. Every dollar of your donation goes towards reaching our fundraising goal and enables us to support our school. Contributions are tax deductible; a receipt with our Tax ID is available upon request.

Staff Spotlight

Ms. Dean

Central Elementary is proud to spotlight Ms. Amy Dean, our Crisis Interventionist whose warmth, dedication, and steady presence make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and staff every day.

Amy brings a blend of compassion and professionalism to her role. She is currently pursuing her degree in education, a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning, and her desire to continually grow in the work she loves. Her passion for supporting students shows in the way she collaborates seamlessly with teachers, implements behavior strategies with care, and follows established protocols with consistency and integrity.

Outside of school, Amy’s heart for others shines just as brightly. She is a devoted mom who can always be found cheering on her daughter’s love for horseback riding, and she proudly supports her boyfriend in the Army with unwavering strength and loyalty. Those who know Amy also know her warm smile which greets everyone she meets and instantly makes them feel welcome.

Amy’s dedication, positivity, and genuine care for others make her an invaluable part of the Central Elementary family, and we are grateful for the impact she makes each day.
