Volunteer of the Month
Nicole Desimone
November 2025

Are you as excited as we are about the new Spirit Wear line? Well we all have an awesome CES parent to thank for bringing that to life - Nicole Desimone! Nicole stepped up this year to assume an open PTO position of Spirit Wear Coordinator and we could not be more thankful to have her help. Nicole has run with the new role, making new items available to our school community and hitting the ground running with the recent Spirit Wear drive. Be on the lookout for other neat new ideas she plans to implement this year, including an opportunity to donate back items your littles have outgrown!

Come sail away with us for the night—it will be a night to remember!
Ahoy, CES families! Get ready to set sail on an unforgettable adventure at our upcoming school dance! Themed “Cruise and Groove on the SS Central,” this special event will transform our school into a fabulous floating dance floor filled with music, laughter, and fun for the whole family.

Staff Spotlight
Ms. Wilbert

For our third staff spotlight of the school year, we would like to recognize Ms. Megan Wilbert. Ms. Wilbert joined the staff of Central Elementary School during the 2024-2025 school year, and since then she has been a positive, dedicated part of our team, beloved by students and colleagues alike. Ms. Wilbert has served as a teacher in our Self Contained classroom and is now leading one of our Alternative Curriculum classrooms, and in both of these roles she has devoted herself to understanding the needs of her students and their families and designing supportive, challenging instruction. She is an eager collaborator with the variety of teams she’s joined, and she continues to develop her repertoire in various special education courses and leadership workshops. Prior to joining our team, Ms. Wilbert substitute taught and worked in assisted living, but we’re thrilled that she has found her place as a valued member of our Central Elementary School community.
